The 'feathers' theme was an interesting challenge over at Sunday Postcard Art

I keep thinking of Emily Dickinson's words:

“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -

And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -

I’ve heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.

  1. I love Emily Dickson's poem and theme of hope that goes so well with the exquisite picture.

  2. A Beautiful card with a lovely theme and poem...excellent artwork.

  3. I find great inspiration in your HOPE postcard, Kim! In today's world, hope seems so difficult to maintain, but we must always try. Your postcard and the poetry are beautifully paired. Well done! Thanks you for participating in my SPA challenge this week!

  4. A gorgeous card in design and symbolism!

  5. Emily D. and a favorite poem! Love the pairing.

  6. I love this artwork, Kim. As a newbie, I looked at it and knew I liked it, then went back and really looked at it. Beautiful - the art, the word Hope, and the poem fit so well together.
